ANNOUNCEMENT - The Ginetta Challenge 2022
The best of GT Racing is now stateside with the Ginetta G56 GTA Spec Series
Complete with 14 races over four weekends.
The series is open to all owners of the Ginetta G56 GTA and in partnership with the National Auto Sport Association (NASA) Mid-Atlantic region and Kaizen Autosport, the first series of races will take place at the renowned VIRginia International Raceway.
The Race
The Ginetta Challenge is the first North American spec series for owners throughout the Americas to compete in. Furthering the reputation that Ginetta drivers are a breed ready to push their car and their driving ability to the next level.
The Ginetta Challenge will give these committed GTA owners a place to test their mettle against others in wheel-to-wheel competition, an unmatched, unparalleled experience on American tracks.
Registration, race control, timing, and tech inspections will be managed by NASA. Ginetta Challenge series points and awards will be handled by Kaizen Autosport. Kaizen Autosport, conveniently based within the VIR paddock, can also provide NASA Licensing, additional practice, storage, service, track car rental, professional coaching and trackside support for Ginetta owners.
The Car
Purpose built and uncompromising on capabilities, the G56 GTA is a cost effective, easy to operate, entry level GT car for those ready to commit from track day enthusiast to competitive race driver.
The Ginetta GTA car brings an unrivaled track driving experience with a perfectly balanced 50/50 weight distribution and a V6 engine providing ample power / torque for the 2,400 lb FIA approved chassis. Equipped with best in class motorsport technology and safety, the GTA car is ready-to-race with a 6 speed paddle-shift Quaife sequential, Alcon brakes, Motec ECU - dash - pdm.
The Legacy
Ginetta is known globally for its chassis development and racing success from British Touring Cars to Le Mans. They also have five single-make series in the UK: Ginetta GT4 SuperCup Championship, Michelin Junior Championship (for those aged 14-17), G40 Cup, GT5 Challenge, and the Junior Winter Series.
In response to the strong interest from US-based clients along with the desire to grow the Ginetta family, the Ginetta Challenge is the first of such series to cross over to additional continents. Ginetta is proudly committed to supporting the development of their drivers by providing avenues for them to advance with the brand, while providing direct US factory support for their cars.
